On ten acres at the edge of Port Macquarie, this independent koala and wildlife park has run a well-known koala breeding centre since the mid-1990s. More than eighty species of native mammals, reptiles and birds live across the grounds, and the day is built around keeper talks, feeding sessions and hands-on encounters. It reads as a working sanctuary rather than a chain attraction, with the koalas and their breeding program firmly at its heart.
