Cape RaoulTrack

On the Tasman Peninsula, the Cape Raoul track leads out along a narrow spine of land to one of the most spectacular sea-cliff views in Tasmania, where columns of dolerite drop hundreds of metres to the Southern Ocean and a chain of jagged sea stacks marches out from the point. The walk crosses heath and forest before opening onto the cliff tops, with fur seals often visible on the rocks below and whales passing in season. It is a demanding day walk, exposed and wind-blown at the end, and utterly worth it. The peninsula's cliffs are the highest in the country.
