Redland City Council's environment education centre sits on 14.5 hectares of bushland at Capalaba. Cultivated native landscapes give way to more than three kilometres of nature tracks, and a native nursery sells plants suited to the Redlands Coast. The Discovery Centre and a recycling station make up the Environment Centre, with IndigiCafé on the verandah serving food and drink with a bush tucker twist.
The gardens double as a working example of native planting, with ideas to take home for a backyard. Group tours can be booked, and the grounds are used for meetings and events.
