수와 데이브 카펜터가 1978년 번젠도어 위 해발 860미터에 포도원을 심었고, 얇은 셰일 위 점토 토양은 그들에게 그 사실을 잊지 않게 했다. 낮은 생장력, 드문 관개, 2003년 이후 바이오다이내믹 — 부동산 리슬링, 샤르도네, 피노 누아, 그뤼너 펠틀리너는 차갑고 인색한 구역의 특성을 반영한다. 와일드-이스트 발효만 사용한다. 아들 크리스가 2002년 합류했다. 와인은 고도의 맛이 난다.
