Lincoln NationalPark

PORT LINCOLN, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Granite headlands overlook Boston Bay, Australia's largest natural harbour, on the sheltered side of this park at the southeastern tip of Eyre Peninsula, thirteen kilometres from Port Lincoln. The ocean side is different country altogether: limestone cliffs, Southern Ocean beaches and the wind-sculpted dunes of the Sleaford–Wanna system. Walking trails run from easy strolls to hard hikes, there are designated campgrounds and beach access, and in season southern right whales pass offshore. Boating, fishing, swimming, snorkelling and bird watching round out the park's repertoire. Vehicle entry fees apply; dogs are not permitted.
