Mumma Duck’s

Up on Tamborine Mountain, tucked into the Long Road shops, Mumma Duck's Sweets & Treats is a small candy-store adventure stocked with sweets from around the world. The shelves read like a passport: Scottish tablet, British classics like rhubarb-and-custard boiled sweets and toffee bonbons, American imports, freeze-dried novelties, New Zealand favourites and a glass run of rock candy. Some of it is nostalgia, some of it is stuff you've only seen on the internet, and the fun is in the hunt. Run with evident affection, the shop keeps easy mountain hours — a little longer on weekends when day-trippers wind their way up — and takes orders online for anyone who can't make the drive. It's a destination for the sweet-toothed, and unapologetic about it.
