Green beans are roasted on-site at this Giblett Street espresso bar, where Ian and April Pianta have built a specialty operation rooted in the Southern Forests. Blends and single origins come off a shopfront roaster and are poured across an early counter, open from six on weekday mornings, that draws timber workers, orchardists and passing travellers. The wholesale side supplies cafes and food businesses within roughly 100 kilometres of Manjimup, making this a regional coffee anchor rather than a city import. Short-order food leans on local produce, and the room functions as much as a meeting place as a caffeine stop. In a district better known for truffles, marron and apples, it fills the gap for seriously considered coffee, roasted where it is drunk.
