A working art centre on Roe Street in Roebourne, the old Pilbara town inland from Karratha, open to visitors on weekdays through the cooler months and closing over the fierce northern summer. Local artists paint here and sell through the centre's own gallery and shop, the practice rooted in the rivers, landforms and seasons of this corner of Western Australia's north-west. A small, community-run space whose calendar follows the Pilbara's own, shut for the hottest weeks and back when the heat breaks.
