Dobson's Distillery

Stephen and Lyn Dobson founded this family distillery in Kentucky, NSW in 2004, later joined by son Joshua, whose first spirit — Sweet Pea — became the operation's bestseller. The family runs it on an avowedly socialist footing, prioritising staff conditions over margins. Small, principled, and worth the detour off the New England Highway.
