Temora's airfield has been a military training ground since 1941, when the RAAF established No. 10 Elementary Flying Training School here — the last WWII flying school to close, in February 1946. The museum keeps that history aloft literally: its warbirds fly on showcase days, and full-motion simulators put visitors in the cockpit of a Spitfire MkXVI, P-51 Mustang, or P-40 Kittyhawk.
