The Beaufort Restoration Group spent more than thirty years on a single aeroplane before renaming itself in 2014 as the collection grew. That aeroplane, Australian-built DAP Beaufort A9-141, remains the centrepiece, and the volunteers intend to fly it for the first time since the war. A DHC-4 Caribou and a Westland Wessex share Hangar 104 at Caboolture airfield. The restoration itself is the thing to see.
