Philip Vakos left Tasmania after MasterChef and opened Bahari on Swan Street with his wife, Heleena. The name is Greek for spice, and the cooking is what the couple call Gringlish: dishes from Vakos's Cretan family, reworked with Australian produce and served to share, with specials that change weekly. Upstairs, a second dining room adds a small courtyard and a bar.
