Dave Rae forges knives in the Hunter Valley, working a broad range of steels — 52100, O1, 1084, 1095, 15n20 and AEB-L — into bushcraft blades, santoku and cleavers for the kitchen, and the occasional sgian dubh in the old Scottish manner. The work is hand-made and hammer-shaped, sold through a small online store and organised by knife type. It reads as a genuine one-smith forge rather than a shopfront, with the steels and patterns chosen for the job at hand.
