George Palassis Kailis came from Kastellorizo in 1914 and was selling fish out of a basket in Perth by 1926. He took over the shop he worked in ten years later, and the family have been at it since, through Barrack Street, Wellington Street, Northbridge, and from 2000 Oxford Street. Market on one side, restaurant on the other, both working the overnight catch.
