Graziers kept turning up fossils while mustering, and many of them ended up here: about 1,150 specimens from Richmond and the surrounding country, mostly Early Cretaceous marine reptiles, pterosaurs and fish from 100 to 115 million years ago. Only a fifth is on display, though what's out is often the best example of its species in Australia. You can dig at the fossil sites yourself.
