PROSAIL WHITSUNDAY

A skippered, crewed alternative to the Whitsundays bareboat scene, running its own small fleet of three sailing yachts — ‘Hammer’, ‘Broomstick’ and ‘Condor’, all in the 22–25 metre range. Owner Josh Wilde worked his way up from hostie and deckhand to skipper before taking the business over in 2018, and the boats run two-day, two-night group trips as well as longer private charters. Days centre on Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling stops, with all meals and equipment aboard, departing from Coral Sea Marina at Airlie Beach.
