Three thousand hectares of old-growth karri forest on the Warren River, just south-west of Pemberton, where the giants pass two centuries in age and approach 90 metres in height. The Heartbreak Trail, a one-way scenic drive, winds from the ridge line down to the riverbank, linking campgrounds with canoeing and swimming spots at Blackbutt, Maiden Bush and Heartbreak Crossing. On foot there is the 10.5-kilometre Warren River Loop and a short track to Warren Lookout over the valley. The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, one of the district's pegged lookout trees, rises from the forest here.
