A renovated fisherman's shack on the shore of yingina / Great Lake, in Tasmania's Central Highlands near Breona, turned into a small off-grid cabin for two. The black-timber exterior and pared-back, styled interior have earned it coverage in The Design Files and Broadsheet, but the point is the quiet: a king bed nook, a wood fire, pine trees and lake water, an hour or so from Launceston and Devonport. Off-grid and deliberately remote, the appeal, as the name suggests, is doing nothing.
