Originally built as the Bush Inn, it was rebuilt as The Criterion by Dorinda Anne Curtis seeking 'a public house of splendour and class.' Long a fixture hosting notable guests including Queen Elizabeth II and General Douglas MacArthur, it remains family-operated by the Turnbull family since 1991. The venue specialises in steak, beer, and entertainment, with a bar, function room, and 18 motel suites added in 2004.
