Set in a sunlit corner of Burleigh Waters, away from the beachfront crowds, this cafe reads Japanese first and vegan second. The name translates loosely as 'anywhere', the V standing for the kitchen's single rule: everything is plant-based. Chef Jared Peck and partner Chiyun Wu move between okonomiyaki, gyoza and pad thai and Western comfort dishes — burgers, pizza, pasta — with the same unhurried competence. Days start with long breakfasts and coffee; Friday through Sunday the room stretches into dinner service. Portions are large, prices fair, and the following extends well beyond committed vegans, which is the surest sign the food stands on its own. The plants-only approach never feels like a constraint here so much as a style. In a stretch of the Gold Coast thick with plant-based options, it holds its own on cooking rather than novelty.
