Enfield State ParkProspecting Area

밸러랫 & 골드필즈, VIC

A bushland state park about 25 kilometres south of Ballarat, once crowded with gold-rush diggers and now given over to wildlife. Walking tracks of varying length wind through forest that shelters eastern grey kangaroos, echidnas, koalas and more than a hundred bird species, alongside the rare Enfield grevillea found here. Picnic grounds sit at Surface Point and Enfield, and gold prospecting is permitted in designated areas of the park.
