A three-hectare pocket of remnant bushland in suburban Thornlie, set aside by the City of Gosnells and threaded by a casual walking trail between Culligan Road and Cassidy Street. Three distinct communities meet here — banksia woodland, marri woodland and melaleuca wetland — making it a haven for local birdlife with nesting sites and food in good supply. In spring the ground flowers with native orchids, among them cowslip, jug and spider orchids, and, for the sharp-eyed, the rare Queen of Sheba.
