Established in 2004 as Redhead Mobile Surf School, this Newcastle operator runs year-round along the coast from Stockton to Catherine Hill Bay, with Redhead Beach as its home. Sessions are timed to the tide and surf and include group lessons from age five, private tuition, SurfTeens, NRMA SurfGroms, a surf-skate program, intermediate-to-advanced coaching and the four-week Her Wave courses for women. Licensed with Surfing Australia and council-approved, it was first in Newcastle to offer smaller coach-to-surfer ratios.
