Just back from the beach on Currumbin Creek Road, the Little Vine Room is the kind of small neighbourhood bar the southern Gold Coast does too rarely — a warm, low-key room built around good wine, careful cocktails and an easy welcome. The drinks list runs from reimagined classics to house signatures, mixed with quality spirits and fresh flavours, and there's a tight menu of small plates and shareable things to graze between glasses. Live music takes over on Friday and Saturday nights, and a members' club rewards the regulars who treat it as their local. The hours are deliberately compact — afternoons and evenings, Tuesday through Saturday — which only adds to the sense of a place that opens when it means to and looks after whoever walks in.
