Ferenc Petho, a Hungarian-born cutler, hand-makes knives one at a time from Port Macquarie on the mid north coast of New South Wales, trading as Paprika Knives within his Paprika Factory. He draws on traditional Scandinavian, Japanese and tribal edged tools, and works across culinary and outdoor blades alongside a Woodlands range of carving tools. A background in engineering and steelwork underpins a practice that also takes in silver and copper smithing, acid etching and leatherwork.
