Melbourne's dedicated all-vegan pizzeria trades from a Rose Street address in Fitzroy, sending out blistered, wood-fired-style pies and a rooftop-bar list of cocktails, beer and wine. Everything is entirely plant-based, from the mozzarella to the meats and the desserts, yet the pizzas hold their own on structure and char, which is the whole point: no caveats, no apology. The menu extends to burgers and sides, and the upstairs terrace gives the place a loose, evening-out energy rather than a health-food earnestness. It began as the city's first vegan pizza kitchen and has kept a devoted following through a move north from its original Collingwood home. Open Wednesday through Sunday, later on weekends.
