Housed in a 1915 building on Terang's main street, reportedly the first in Australia designed by a female architect, this is a country bakery that competes well beyond its postcode. Baker Brad Burkitt, who has spent more than fifteen years at the trade, took the top traditional-pastie award at the 2024 Victorian Baking Show in Bendigo, one of several trophies the shop has collected. Cabinets run the full range: pies, pasties, cakes, breads and slices, made daily and turned over by a sizeable team for a town this size. It trades six days a week, with plenty of seating for a coffee and a pie eaten in. The pastie is the thing to order.
