Venetia Blackman hand-builds mid-fire ceramics at Terrara, her studio set in bushland at Hepburn Springs. Fired to 1220 degrees, the work carries gestural, painterly surfaces built up through under- and over-glazes, with fluid organic silhouettes across two ranges: functional pieces for the table and freer sculptural forms. She works one piece at a time, so no two are alike. A member of The Australian Ceramics Association.
