The forest around Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, holding the mineral springs that made these towns famous — Tipperary, Golden, Argyle and Sailors Falls among them — along with waterfalls, lookouts and relics of the gold rush. Walkers on the Mineral Springs Loop can sample the mineral water along the way; The Blowhole marks where 1850s miners diverted the flow of Sailors Creek through the hillside in search of gold; and the Goldfields Track crosses the park on its way between Ballarat and Bendigo. Storm damage has closed some tracks, so check conditions before setting out.
