Founded in 1976 by Margaret Rolfe, Canberra Quilters is Australia's oldest patchwork group — now several hundred members strong and based at Cook Community Hub. It runs workshops, an annual retreat, a teacher accreditation program, and a quilt appraisal service. Sub-groups range from Japanese Inspiration to Modern Quilt to Machine Embroiderers. Serious makers, not hobbyists killing an afternoon.
