Established in 2011 and governed by the Gurindji artists of Kalkaringi and Daguragu, in Victoria River country some 800 kilometres south-west of Darwin. The centre supports painting on linen and the making of traditional artefacts, with a house style of precise, vibrant dot work, and acts as a focal point for community cultural life. Its name comes from Karungkarni, a Child Dreaming hill to the south. Open weekday afternoons on the Buntine Highway.
