Mac Forbes has spent two decades mapping the Yarra Valley vineyard by vineyard — grey loamy clay at Woori Yallock, volcanic red soils at Hoddles Creek, north-facing mudstone at Gladysdale. Each site produces wines built for different purposes: structure, purity, perfume. The Wurundjeri people's 50,000-year farming knowledge informs the approach. This is sustained, specific inquiry expressed through Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Chenin Blanc.
