Mimili MakuArts

A community art centre in Mimili, on the APY Lands in the remote north-west corner of South Australia. It represents Anangu artists working chiefly in painting, and the studio is where that work begins before it travels to galleries around the country. Visiting the APY Lands takes a permit and real distance from anywhere, so it helps to make contact before planning a call — this is a working centre on Country, not a roadside gallery.
