A Torres Strait Islander art centre at Kubin, one of two communities on Moa Island in the strait between Cape York and Papua New Guinea. Its artists are known for printmaking, weaving and work made from reclaimed ghost-net, and the centre keeps a weekday gallery and online shop. Reaching Moa takes a flight or ferry through island Queensland, which keeps the place well off the standard art trail — and makes the collection here distinct from the mainland desert and Arnhem Land centres.
