The wines are named for Scottish land customs — RunRig, The Laird, The Forebear — and the Barossa obsession runs equally deep. Torbreck works old dry-grown Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro with a hands-off approach, blending some parcels with Viognier in the Northern Rhône style. The Laird comes from a five-acre, 1958-planted vineyard between Seppeltsfield and Marananga. Cellar door visits by reservation.
