Alistair Phillips makes folding knives from a Canberra bench, framelock and flipper designs worked in titanium, carbon fibre and stainless with a maker's obsession for a clean, precise action. He trained at Tharwa Valley Forge and marries hand fitting with CNC machining. A full member of the Australian Knifemakers Guild, he collaborated with Spyderco on the Kapara, a production folder drawn from his Redback pattern. He takes commissions and teaches folder courses to those who want to build their own.
