Melaney McCleary makes every Ant Haus piece by hand at her Sydney bench, from first cut to final polish. The studio name nods to the Bauhaus, and the work follows suit: angular, geometric forms in sterling silver, rose and yellow gold, often set against each other in contrasting finishes. She works in 100 percent recycled metal and swaps the usual chemicals for natural alternatives. These are pieces built to be worn daily for years, not seasons.
