A community-run native botanic reserve on the edge of Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley, planted almost entirely with local indigenous species to showcase the region's original vegetation. Gravel paths wind among native trees, shrubs and understorey plantings, with a community nursery and a natural resource centre on site. It's free and open every day from sunrise to sunset, an easy, quiet counterpoint to the surrounding vineyards, good for birdwatching and a self-guided wander close to town.
