Steve and the Bike n Hike team have been running multi-day mountain bike trips out of Port Douglas for more than fifteen years, built around Far North Queensland's toughest and most scenic terrain. The signature route follows the CREB Track through Daintree rainforest — steep pinches, river crossings and remote camping for experienced riders — while the Atherton Tablelands tour ranges across easy, intermediate and advanced sections between 500 and 1,280 metres elevation, and Hartleys Falls offers a gentler day out for mixed-ability groups. Trips are fully supported: guides, meals, camping gear and accommodation are handled, and riders can bring their own bike or hire a Scott, Trek or e-mountain bike locally. The CREB Track itself only opens in the dry season, roughly May to October, when the crossings are passable; other routes run more broadly across the year. A serious, well-supported way to ride rainforest and tableland country that most visitors only ever see from a car window.
