Brent Parnell makes knives by hand at Maudsland, in the Gold Coast hinterland, working mostly to commission. His range runs across kitchen blades, hunting and utility knives for the field, and pocket folders. A member of the Australian Knifemakers Guild, Parnell holds that a knife is best chosen in the hand, and sells his work through an online store and in person at the Tamborine Mountain Country Markets on the second Sunday of each month. Blade care and sharpening round out the workshop's offering.
