Set within subtropical rainforest and creeks on Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland, this retreat opened in 1999 as Cedar Creek Lodges under Bob and Judi Minnikin. Accommodation spans hotel rooms, self-contained creekside lodges and five-star glamping tents. There's the Rainforest Restaurant and Terrace Café, wedding and conference venues, and Thunderbird Park's adventure activities, roughly an hour from Brisbane.
