维多利亚高地, CHILTERN, VICTORIA

维多利亚高地, Chiltern, Victoria获取方向

Alfred Eustace came to Chiltern in 1851 to shepherd on the Eldorado Run, carried a box of oils in his swag, and painted the bush on Red and White Box gum leaves because canvas was hard to come by. Queen Victoria and the Czar of Russia both acknowledged the work. The Athenaeum holds it, in an 1866 building that still has the goldfields reading room left behind when the town library moved out in 1970.
