On the Mount Barker Road approach to Hahndorf, this family-run fresh-food market has grown from a 1979 fruit-and-vegetable store into an Adelaide Hills stopping point in its own right. The Palma family has run it for decades, buying at market each day, and its pricing and turnover draw shoppers up from Adelaide as well as passing travellers. Open Monday to Saturday and closed Sundays, it functions as both a weekly grocery stop for locals and a provisioning point for visitors touring the Hills. It sits on the freeway side of the historic town, with easy parking.
