The Hahndorf Knife Shop is a family operation run by Lyn and her son Nathan from a tiny cottage in the Adelaide Hills village of Hahndorf, the shop floor barely four metres square. Nathan is a young, well-regarded maker who fully hand-forges his knives, focusing on kitchen blades while still turning his hand to other styles. He is known as much for restoration and sharpening as for making, and takes custom work for chefs, hunters, fishermen, farmers and collectors. The knives are locally made and finished by hand.
