Everything at Maë's Melbourne studio starts as a hand-drawn illustration, pen or paint, gardens and funny vegetables and slightly wonky flowers, which she then carries across handmade ceramics, printed scarves, totes and clothing. The ceramics come one at a time, hand-painted, no two alike, currently a run of strawberry cups and butter dishes. She's clear it isn't a fashion label or a homewares brand, just her drawings, made slowly. Sold online.
