Know before you go. Fully guided tours only, and bookings are essential — there is no self-guided option, so you do not need a torch. The one-hour tour takes in 250 stairs, with pauses at landings along the way, and a reasonable level of fitness is required. Only a water bottle is allowed inside the cave; leave backpacks in the car. The ticket area, shop and cafe are accessible, but there is no wheelchair or pram access into the cave itself.
