The cultural focal point of Fregon, a small community in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands of far northern South Australia. Senior painters such as Witjiti George, Taylor Cooper and Imitjala Curley work here and pass painting technique and Tjukurpa on to younger artists, often across large collaborative canvases. Known for a breadth of style and cultural depth. Visitors are welcome by arrangement, but a permit is needed to enter the APY Lands, so contact the centre well ahead.
