Set in a weatherboard shopfront on Whitelaw Street, this dual-natured room trades as a bright, casual eatery through the day and shifts into a restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights. Chef Woody Chet, who grew up cooking in Cambodia before moving south, brought his cooking to Meeniyan in 2024, and the evening menu leans into spirited Cambodian feasts built for sharing. Daytime is more familiar: breakfast, lunch and coffee with a modern, Southeast Asian slant, drawing on the dairy country and market gardens around it. Seating spreads between a warm interior and an outdoor deck. For a town this size it is a rare thing, cooking with a clear point of view and changing character between lunch and dinner rather than settling for country-pub safety.
