Built in 1888 as the South Brisbane Public Hall and renamed The Princess in 1893, it then spent most of a century as everything but a theatre. Clothing factory, rag merchant, engineering firm, printing works, church. Reopened in 2021 with 900 standing, four bars and a courtyard. Queensland's oldest standing theatre, and the programming runs from metalcore to Robert Forster.
