In the goldfields town of Norseman, on the edge of the Great Western Woodlands, a 1939 art deco hotel is being restored room by room to its former character. The original building holds hotel rooms with modern spa bathrooms, while simpler ensuite motel cabins sit adjacent, some pet-friendly. It doubles as a wellness base, with yoga classes and workshops, and makes an unlikely but characterful stop for travellers crossing the woodlands on the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway.
